Implementation of RSHE

At Watercliffe Meadow, we use resources and lesson plans designed in the Sheffield Primary RSHE curriculum. Whilst we follow this structure, we also adapt lessons for individual cohorts, where necessary. This ensures that these subjects meet the statutory obligations as outlined in the revised Department of Education guidance. This curriculum is also ever-changing and current. The lessons are taught through discussion, picture books, videos, delivery of essential facts and through a range of planned opportunities:

• Circle Times
• Science
• Themed weeks (antibullying week)
• Our Golden Model

The children’s relationships and the importance of their health is also a part of our daily practice, as a trauma informed school, and is so much more than a set of lessons and is reflected in everything we do.
