Implementation of Design and Technology

We have designed a progressive and inspiring design and technology curriculum that allows all children to learn how to design and produce functional products. This is done whilst considering a range of options to meet design criteria that is centred around structured product analysis. Where appropriate, projects link to other areas of the curriculum. Computed aided design and programming, using hardware like Crumble, is used where it enhances learning.

In an ever-changing world, where engineering, design and computer technology develop, each child will complete projects that involve:

• Textiles
• Structures; and
• Electrical systems
