Implementation of Science

As a core subject, our science curriculum follows the national curriculum. Each unit taught has been planned by curriculum leaders to ensure the context is ambitious and reflects our learners. We aim for a knowledge and vocabulary rich curriculum, that allows opportunities for our children to investigate and discover the processes in the world around them. Each component gives children opportunities to explore the world around them and use scientific skills to explore concepts, such as magnetism or healthy living.

Children plan to use and choose equipment to work scientifically; as well as looking at key scientific individuals, learning through storytelling, and accessing many other types of delivery that engage them and instil a curiosity and fascination with the scientific world.
