Y4's awesome week!

What a brilliant week by a brilliant bunch of kids.

What another awesome week, and a festive one at that! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend Step into Christmas, we know that it is not easy to find time during the school day and it was a wonderful morning! Christmas Fayre brought another exciting Christmas theme to the week and we can’t believe it is only two full school weeks until it is the Christmas holidays!

Community Bus Project:

We were thoroughly spoilt by Mandy, our resident artist, this week. She enabled us to create the most beautiful tree decorations from foil. They looked so professional when we had finished – expensive looking, embossed stars! We wrote a destination we would like to travel to on the bus; some more magical than others. Cat land and chocolate world being two of my particular favourites!

Design and Technology:

Our design and technology sessions are really amping up and this week we have created our own prototypes shell structures; as well as practising the typography and imagery for the final thing. We cannot wait to showcase our fantastic designs of a treat box for all the family!

Writing:

We have had some of the best writing from our classes this week! The hard work we have been putting in is clearly paying off. The event we wrote about from Arthur and the Golden Rope was exceptionally written and we were so very proud! We cannot wait for you to read them in our university files!

Y4GH:

Star of the Week is for Abdul. He works so hard and is always fully engaged in lessons!

The Learning Principle postcard is Alyssiah. She has been challenging herself on her independent writing and has really enjoyed writing sentences about Arthur and the Golden Rope.

Y4MB

The Learning Principle (Make Links) postcard was given to Maisie. She has realised that the small building blocks (nouns, verbs etc) help create brilliant buildings (pieces of writing).

Star of the Week is for Oliver B. He has had a tricky week but he has kept on smiling and trying to produce his best learning. Well done Oliver.

PE Star of the Week: This week, the PE star of the week is Maisie from Y4MB. In Both sessions this week she has shown, good skills, effort and technique.
