W/E 29th November
Another wonderful week.
Despite not having the children in on Wednesday (we missed them!) we have still packed such a lot of learning in.
Writing
We have been thoroughly enjoying writing for the last couple of weeks. We are basing our writing all around the story Arthur and the Golden Rope. It has really captured our imaginations and we have already written fantastic descriptions, persuasive letters and some excellent and accurate sentences. Ask us about Arthur’s adventures and his magical objects!
History:
We mixed up our humanities lessons this week and threw in some geography skills. We used atlases to identify on a world map all the places the Vikings had sailed too. They were amazingly successful sailors and traded with many people across the world.
Music:
Slowly but surely we are improving our clarinet playing skills and we are thoroughly enjoying our weekly music sessions. Amy teaches us so much and we have great fun doing it!
Y4GH:
Star of the Week is for Koby. He is such a hardworking superstar and so positive all the time!
The Learning Principle postcard is for Archie. He definitely deserves the Learn Together badge, it does not matter who is working with or alongside, but he is so productive himself and helps those around him.
PE Star of the Week: This week, the PE star of the week is Kareem from Y4GH. In dodgeball, he demonstrated a good accuracy when throwing and fantastic catching of the ball.
Y4MB
The Learning Principle (Be Curious) postcard was given to Bayan. She has been curious in all lessons and has produced her best in every lesson.
Star of the Week is for Maisie. She has produced lots and lots of excellent learning all week.
CLIC:
Y4GH: It has been another fantastic week for CLIC! 8 children got full marks! Well done to Abdul, Bobby, Layla, Jessica, Sonny, Finn, Olivia and Archie. Kenan, Charlie, Orland, Reon, Mia, Narin and Louie all scored 11. What a totally brilliant week.
Y4MB: Darcie and Charlie got full marks in CLIC – fantastic! These children did brilliantly and scored 10 or above: Aklil, Corey and Robyn.
Beat That:
Y4GH: Our top scorers were Bobby ad Archie 27, fantastic work! Keenan, Charlie, Orlando, Layla, Levia, Mia, Sonny, Narin, Louie, Finn, Shayla-Lea and Ellasu all scored their top score for this half term.
