School Streets - Update

School Streets is a new approach to improve road safety and air quality outside schools, where they are closed to traffic at the start and at the end of the school day. The trial will begin next week, on Monday 7th October 2024.

• Boynton Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from its junction with Shirecliffe Road.
• The closure will operate Monday to Friday, term time only.
• Closure times will be 8:15 to 9:15am in the morning and 14:45 to 15:45pm in the afternoon.
• During these times, vehicular traffic will not be allowed to enter via Boynton Road via the closure point (exceptions do apply).
• Residents living within the closed section will always have access via a (free) permit scheme.
