This was the week that was! W/E 31st Jan

You have the best children. we are so proud of them all!

We have really enjoyed having so many positive learning conversations this week during parent’s evening. We are also looking forward to catching up with those outstanding one’s next week. The children have worked really hard this week too.

Maths:

During our first week of length and perimeter, the children have really grasped the concept and have flown through the tasks. As it has gotten more difficult, with finding missing lengths in rectilinear shapes, they have risen to the challenge and tried their absolute best.

Art:

As we near the end of our Art of Display unit, we had a very productive and exciting afternoon on Wednesday. Each pair/ group constructed their own sculpture from wire and wool. They had worked hard to design a sculpture that represented one of our learning principles. We used our sketch books to build up to this process, and had great fun creating the finished product.

Y4GH:

Star of the Week is for Shayla. Her positivity to her learning has really increased, and she is taking the time to try and edit and improve her learning.

There are two Learning Principle recipients this week; Kenan and Ashton. They have been awarded the Learn Together badges for their paired work in art. They persevered in constructing their sculpture and twisting the wires together.

PE Star of the Week: This week, the PE star of the week is for Jacob from Y4GH. He has been working on managing distractions and joining in to the best of his ability.

Y4MB

The Learning Principle (Feel Proud) postcard was given to Thanos. He is growing in confidence and asking us more often if he needs support or anything else that he might need.
