Red Nose Week

A wonderful week of effort and learning

Another stellar week by all the children – we are just flying through our lessons and showing what we are capable of!

Swimming:

We were exhausted by the end of our swimming lesson on Tuesday! The children were swimming lengths for nearly the entire lesson, and so much progress was made. Some children were able to remove some of their arm floats, and we all practiced and applied correct swimming technique. It is delightful to watch how well they all progress in just one 40-minute session a week.

Maths:

We are on a new topic for maths this week, the first of two decimal blocks. The children have spent the week applying what they know about tenths: as fractions, as decimals, on a number line, in a part-part whole model and even with place value counters on a tens-frame. It has been very impressive!

Y4GH:

Star of the Week is for Jacob. He has shown exceptional kindness to one of our children and was so friendly and supportive.

This week, Sonny has received the ‘Be Positive’ postcard. He is always so positive, and this week he saw the bigger picture of some seating organisation and made a very generous and kind offer to swap tables in order to support other children.

Y4MB

The Learning Principle (Be Curious) postcard was awarded to Sharon. She has been so engaged in all areas of learning this week and kept asking questions to find out about what she was curious about.

Star of the Week is Hannah. She isn’t always focussed but this week she has been engaged sooooo much.

PE Star of the Week: This week, the PE star of the week is for Muadh. HHe finds swimming a real challenge but he keeps going and you can see his confidence growing little by little. .
