Inset week
Your children continue to impress us so, so much. Thank you.
Even though we sandwiched an INSET day into the middle of the week, we have still crammed so much learning in.
Design and Technology:
All children have used their torch product analysis and the design criteria from this to start to plan their own torch. They have chosen their material and shape for the shell structure: thinking about durability, whether the material is waterproof or not, if it is flexible, and if it is aesthetically pleasing (colour). By next week, they will have created their own cross-sectional diagram of their design.
Writing:
Linking everything we know about circuits from last half term’s science and the design and technology, we are planning and writing explanation texts about what a circuit is, the purpose of them and the main parts. We are including the factual information as well as trying to include the features of an explanation text.
Y4GH:
Star of the Week is for Layla. She works really hard and is always focussed in her lessons. She has a wonderful personality and is a great class member and friend.
Jessica is receiving her second postcard of the year! She could receive one every single week and this week it is for ‘Being Positive!’
PE Star of the Week: This week, the PE star of the week is for Mia. Her swimming ability has massively improved in the first four lessons, and she is so positive and also takes on board any feedback given.
Y4MB
The Learning Principle (Make LInks) postcard was awarded to Naom. In so much of his learning he has made brilliant links this week. Well done. .
Star of the Week is Antoni. He has worked so hard this week on his spellings (He has moved up a level) and in his test (with Mrs Colley) he got 5/5.
